The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-1 this season. They are the only team in the NFL to win double-digit games this season and are on course to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl for the second year in a row. The Eagles played an exciting game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. They won in overtime after coming back from a 10-point deficit in regulation.
The Bills went into halftime with a 10-point lead as the Eagles were struggling offensively. Their QB, Jalen Hurts, had a very slow start to the game, and it looked like their four-game win streak would get snapped by the end of the game.
However, the Eagles fought back on the back of their talismanic quarterback and won the game. Hurts had a 5-yard TD performance as he threw three touchdowns and ran for two. He is a firm candidate to win the league MVP this season, but the QB isn’t concerned about personal accolades. Hurts said:
That’s not for me to concern or roll with. I just try to go out there and play to the standard and be the best I can be for my team. There were times today I felt like I didn’t do that, but when it mattered most I felt like we did a good job of doing what we needed to do.
He further added:
We played team football, communicated well, and that’s all in the outcome of what happened. Anything else that I’m named or people want to roll with, I guess that’s for them to do so.
So far, this season has been brilliant. He has thrown for 2,697 yards and 18 touchdowns, with 10 interceptions. He also has 410 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. Although his 10 interceptions are a career-high, he is completing 67.6 percent of his passes, which is also the best mark of his career.
Jason Kelce had high praise for Jalen Hurts after 5 TD performance against the Bills
The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a statement win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It was a thrilling overtime win as the Eagles came back from a 10-point deficit in regulation. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had a fantastic second half as he led his team to a 37-34 victory in OT. Eagles’ star center, Jason Kelce, talked about his QB performance after the game.
It’s a Jalen performance. There aren’t too many guys that I’ve played with — probably nobody that I’ve played with — that’s been more clutch down the stretch.
He further added:
He's been so good in crucial situations when things have to happen. That's a trait not to take lightly. I think if you look at most of the best players, it's a trait that they have to have.
The Eagles are on a five-game winning streak after their shocking loss to the New York Jets in Week 6. They will play their next game against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship rematch from last season. The Eagles are flying and are looking very dangerous.
