“Too busy thinking about taking selfies” Placekicker Eddy Piñeiro gets brutally trolled on Twitter for missing two late kicks that doomed the Panthers against the Falcons

Eddy Piñeiro may have had the worst day of his NFL career during the Panthers’ face-off against the Falcons. The Panthers lost the tightly contested games by just 3 points and all blame is given to Eddy, who missed two late kicks that could have turned the tide in the Panthers’ favor.

Taking a selfie is often a normal thing, and no one bats an eye nowadays. Eddy was quite unlucky when he was caught taking selfies on the turf before the game instead of practicing the kicking skills that could have helped him win the game for the Panthers.

“It hurts,” Eddy Piñeiro said in his post-game interview. “I love this team, and I know they’ve got my back. I know this is not going to define me as a kicker, and everybody misses kicks. Unfortunately, mine was today, and my time was today. (I’m) going to bounce back and be ready to kick.”

Eddie had two concrete chances to win the game for the Panthers, as the first one was a one-point conversion that he missed, which led to the game going into overtime. Then later in the game, the Panthers‘ kicker botched another kick for 32 yards.

It’s common for players to have bad games but when a player is caught taking selfies before the game, he can get punished for that. Eddy was ridiculed on Twitter and called out for his bad performance.

NFL Twitter didn’t hold back with their criticism of Eddy Piñeiro after the Panthers-Falcons game Ended

Eddie Piñeiro was privy to lots of criticism from fans and analysts who called out the Panthers kicker for his bad game. A kicker had only one job in the whole game and Eddie managed to botch it completely and missed two essential game-winning kicks.
