The NFL Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Its halftime show is one of the most anticipated parts of the Super Bowl weekend. Some of the greatest artists have performed at halftime of the Super Bowl as it is regarded as a glowing achievement in an artist’s career. The halftime show of the 2024 Super Bowl in February will be headlined by Usher.

The announcement was done by a video featuring TV personality, Kim Kardashian. The Super Bowl next year will be held at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Usher will follow last year’s headline artist Rihanna who performed amicably during the Super Bowl in Arizona in February this year. That halftime show was the most watched halftime show in Super Bowl history.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Usher used the footage from his 2009 hit Confessions II and linked it with Kardashian calling him to deliver the news. Another star who is linked with playing in the halftime show next year is Taylor Swift, who is rumored to be dating the Kansas City Chiefs superstar TE, Travis Kelce.

Some fans are thrilled with the announcement as they think Usher will do an impeccable job.

While some fans may have liked the announcement, other are a bit skeptical about Usher performing at the Super Bowl. One fan wrote ‘this ain’t 2005’ suggesting that Usher’s music won’t hold up with the younger audience.
