The San Francisco 49ers faced the NFC East Champions the Philadelphia Eagles in a much-anticipated matchup in the Conference Championship round. Everybody expected it to be a close game but it ended up being a one-sided beatdown. After their rookie QB Brock Purdy went down with an arm injury, the Niners had to play with their 4th string quarterback and it didn’t end well for them.
During the first quarter of the game, Purdy got injured and left the game, the Niners had to rely on their 4th-string QB Josh Johnson to take on the mighty Eagles’ defense. The Eagles’ defense, which led the regular season in sacks having registered a whopping 70 sacks (15 more than the next-best team) had a field day against the Niners O-line as they managed to accumulate 3 sacks against the Niners, their defensive leader Haason Reddick accounted for 2 of them.
On the flip side, the Niners team which has three All-Pros in their defensive unit alone had a tough against the Eagles’ offense led by their MVP candidate quarterback Jalen Hurts. They managed to register a single sack but couldn’t stop them from putting points on the scoreboard. In the end, the Eagles handed the 49ers a 31-7 loss, but that wasn’t even the worst loss someone associated with the Niners on Sunday.
Sydney Warner curses out the Eagles fans
The LA Chargers OLB Joey Bosa who attended the game to support his brother and Niners DE Nick Bosa was heckled by an Eagles fan and lost his cool and received a backlash on social media for it. Furthermore, 49ers LB Fred Warner‘s wife Sydney Warner has now accused the Eagles fans of pushing and shoving her during the game.
After the Championship game, Sydney took it to social media to curse the Eagles fans after her horrific experience as a visiting fan. “You can call me a wimp, but I can’t handle their fans. I didn’t feel safe. Fred told me don’t wear red, but I had a red bag. The ‘F-yous’ and shoving… I hope your plane crashes… I’m all about passion, but never again,” said Sydney about her horrible experience with the Eagles fans.
On the sporting sides of things, the Eagles eliminated the Niners from the postseason and move on to the big game, where they will be facing the AFC Champions Kansas City Chiefs led by their MVP candidate QB Patrick Mahomes next weekend.
