The offensive struggles for the Pittsburgh Steelers have not come to an end despite Matt Canadas sacking. It became crystal clear once again as the team had a loss against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football (TNF). The Patriots won the game 21-18.

Evident from the margin, it was a low-scoring and thrilling encounter between the two teams. The Patriots had the last laugh after quite a while. However, things became difficult for the Steelers as the team moved on to the 7-5 record after 12 games. Their post-season dreams seem to be getting harder.

What was more alarming than the post-season dreams or even a sluggish offense was the attitude of the team’s wide receiver George Pickens‘ attitude toward his peers. Getting frustrated with the attitude of his fellow teammates, he expressed his fury pointed his fingers and went up to one of his colleagues. The incident took place while the game was on. A video captured the entire incident, that later went viral.

It was not the first time the player showed disgrace towards his teammates. He did not provide his highest effort in a couple of games and the attitude seems to be causing a lot of problems to the team. Head coach Mike Tomlin understood it and approached the wide receiver.

The WR had one of the worst games in his life. He covered 19 yards for five passes. The Steelers had covered only 42 yards. The offense problem is still concerning the team a lot.

The Steelers recently fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada

With growing problems among the team and the fans regarding the offensive coordinator Matt Canada, the Steelers decided to sack him. It was a longstanding campaign from the fans’ end. They were protesting a lot with the ‘Out Matt Canada’ slogan. Their tenacious campaign met with success as the management decided to get rid of Canada.

However, the problems did not end. The offense remains sluggish and the game against the Patriots was a prime example. The Patriots have had one of their worst seasons so far and still, they were able to beat the Steelers.

When Canada was fired, QB Kenny Pickett said it was an alarming call for them. However, the team has not been alarmed as much. The performance against the Patriots proves that.
