George Pickens had an interesting first season in the NFL and impressed everyone with his abilities. The 22-year-old wide receiver was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2022 NFL draft.
The WR got comfortable with the Steelers very quickly and recorded the second most receptions in his team, only behind Diontae Johnson. Surprisingly, the rookie WR had aspirations for something more and feels he was snubbed from the Pro Bowl last year.
The Pro Bowl had an interesting set of receivers last year that included Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills, Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Raiders’ Davante Adams. On the other hand, Pickens was also not included in the Rookie of the Year voting. However, his teammate Kenny Pickett ranked 6th. Now, the Steelers WR has set some firm goals for the next season, and getting in the Pro Bowl is one of them.
“Year two goals are Pro Bowl, and I feel like last year I feel like I got snubbed, because there wasn’t a lot of guys in there at the Pro Bowl that excited me,” George Pickens told Bo Marchionte via PFT. “Then, [I want to go to] the Super Bowl. The two bowls. A lot of RAC, run after catch. Two bowls for sure.”
His recent comments regarding the Pro Bowl didn’t land well on social media and Pickens was brutally roasted on NFL Twitter for his comments.

George Pickens gets hilariously trolled on NFL Twitter
There’s no doubt that George Pickens is a quality receiver and has a bright future in front of him. However, registering for the Pro Bowl in the first season is a long shot.
Although his confidence is commendable, the Steelers WR stated some unreasonable things that led to him getting roasted on NFL Twitter. Social media quickly took to Twitter to call out Pickens after his recent comments. There were many who believe that he wasn’t snubbed while the others completely roasted him.
Pickens ranked 38th in receiving yards and wasn’t even in the top 50 in receptions or touchdowns in the NFL. Maybe the stats speak for themselves and that’s what social media is trying to say.
George Pickens’ confidence can soon get out of hand, resulting in arrogance. That can get him in trouble with the Steelers as well as his fans. Although the WR has shown incredible ability on the ball in his first season, he still has a long way to go.
