Chris Broussard and Aaron Rodgers
There are questions over whether Aaron Rodgers will be playing at the Green Bay Packers in 2023, a franchise wherein he has spent his entire 18 year NFL career. If he does play for the Packers in 2023, he’s set to receive $59.465 million guaranteed pay.
Recently Aaron Rodgers has also taken a darkness retreat which he says is to figure out where he is in life currently. Rodgers is known to take such unorthodox trips during the offseason and last year went to Peru to try out ayahuasca, which is a plant based psychoactive.
It seems like Chris Broussard is pretty clear on his thought process on whether the Green Bay Packers should trade Aaron Rodgers or not. Broussard said, on the First Things First show, that he believes the Packers would be well off trading Aaron Rodgers.

According to Chris Broussard, Aaron Rodgers is well past his prime and there’s little to no chance he’s ever gonna win a Super Bowl for the Packers. Broussard says Rodgers was unable to reach the Super Bowl in his prime and hence it’s practically impossible he’ll be able to do so currently.
“I think they [Green Bay Packers] should trade. Because one he’s showed the decline. And when he showed the decline a few years ago and came back to win the MVP he was younger. Do I expect him at 39 to bounce back like he did a few years ago? No. And when he was at his best, when he won his four MVP’s, he didn’t even get to the Super Bowl. Forget winning it he didn’t even get to the Super Bowl,” Chris Broussard said.
Another point that Chris Broussard makes is that even though he was able to come back a few years back, he was at his best. However, now Rodgers’ mental state is not correct and there are questions lingering about whether he even wants to continue playing football.
“And now I’m supposed to believe that Aaron Rodgers stays in Green Bay, he’s 70% the player he used to be and he’s winning the Super Bowl? I don’t think he’s winning a Super Bowl because he didn’t do it when he was at his best. And he was all in in those years. I don’t know if he’s all in, he’s been sitting in the dark figuring out whether he wants to play football.”
Aaron Rodgers has been linked to several teams ahead of the start of 2023 with the Las Vegas Raiders emerging as one of them.
