Smith also defended Tom Brady from people who are claiming that the Bucs QB isn’t performing well and stated that Brady is doing everything he can, but he has to take the blame because he is the face of the franchise.

“I’m disagreeing with your overall take as it pertains to Brady not being the blame, because Brady’s not usually putting you in a position where you can get exposed like that, because he’s handling his business. That’s what I’m saying.” Stephen stated on the First Take.

The Bucs are 3-3 this season after 6 games, making it their worst record in the NFL since TB12 took over the QB duties for them. Tom Brady made an average Bucs side win the Super Bowl when everyone disregarded them as potential champions through his sheer exceptionalism and ability as a leader.

Everything that could go wrong for the Bucs has gone wrong this season. They have a new head coach, which entails new tactics and playing styles that can take time to adapt to.

The Bucs are also plagued with injuries in their offense and it has been numerous games since Tom Brady has worked with his starting WR, but the only person that is taking the blame is QB Tom Brady even when he is struggling himself due to his personal life currently.

Although Tom Brady is having marital problems, that hasn’t affected his game as he still has delivered exceptional numbers this season. Brady has thrown for 1,652 yards, 8 touchdowns, and just one interception and Tom Brady manages it with different offensive players due to injury concerns.
