“I think I am no.1 receiver,” Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. has set his sights on becoming one of the best in the NFL
Michael Pittman Jr. is finally showing everyone what the Indianapolis Colts saw in him, during the NFL 2020 draft when the franchise drafted him in the second round. The 24-year old wide receiver showed considerable improvement in his second season in the NFL in 2021 and is aiming for more glory in 2022.
Pittman Jr’s numbers took a massive jump this year, almost doubling his tally from his rookie season, a figure which shows the rapid strides that he has taken in the NFL. However, he does not want to stop at that and has set his sights on becoming the No.1 wide receiver in the league cometh this season.

“I’m just trying to take the next step,” Michael Pittman Jr. said, per the Indy Star. “Last year, I said that I was going to double every single category, and I did that. This year, I’m trying to build on that and become that definite receiver No. 1 that everybody talks about.”
Michael Pittman Jr. claimed that in his head he’s already the best, but he needs to prove his credentials to the onlookers, and get up there in terms of statistics as well.
“Everybody has their own definition,” Pittman. said. “I think I am that (No. 1 receiver). I’ve just got to go ahead and prove that to other people, with whatever they think it is, whether it’s yards, touchdowns, whatever. I’m just trying to make that next jump.”
“Trying to be a team leader now, now that I’m kind of the older guy that’s in that room now,” Pittman said. “I’m only going into Year 3 now, but I’m the elder.”
