Jaire Alexander calls Justin Jefferson’s STUPENDOUS performance against him in week 1 a FLUKE

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson is a big threat to the NFL defenses that go against him. Although Packers CB Jaire Alexander is backing himself in his upcoming battle against the star wideout.
The Minnesota Vikings drafted Jefferson as the 22nd overall player in the 2020 NFL draft. He quickly became one of the most feared wide receivers in the league as he started his career by putting up unprecedented numbers, which eventually got him the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor. He has since outperformed all the expectations and registered himself as a top wide receiver.
After finishing two back-to-back seasons with more than 1000 yards receiving, Jefferson started his third season with a bang, when he went against their NFC North division rivals Green Bay Packers, and put up a tremendous performance. He caught nine passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns while leading the Vikings to a victory against Green Bay in week 1 of NFL regular season football.
As the Vikings prepare to face the Packers for the second time this season, Packers defensive back Jaire Alexander has just given a bulletin-board material to Jefferson. The Pro Bowl cornerback called Jefferson’s stupendous performance against him a fluke after he backed himself to win against Jefferson in their week 17 match-up.
“He’s a really good receiver. But at the end of the day, I’m a really good corner. We’ve got really good corners, we’ve got really good linebackers, D-line, whatever it is. You don’t want to put too much focus on that one person because it’s like, the first game, that was a fluke.” said Alexander to the media ahead of the Packers-Vikings game in week 17.

Twitter reacts to Jaire Alexander calling out Justin Jefferson
Alexander’s comment about Jefferson did not thrill Vikings fans on social media. Ahead of the Packers-Vikings game on Sunday, Jaire Alexander bets on himself to cover the star wideout, Justin Jefferson. The Pro Bowl cornerback said that the Packers aren’t giving special focus to Jefferson.
Alexander also praised Jefferson and named him in the top 3 wide receivers list. Along with Jefferson, Alexander named his former teammate Davante Adams as his No.1 wide receiver and he also named Dolphins’ second year wide receiver Jaylen Waddle on his list. But the fans clung on to his comments about Jefferson’s week 1 game and roasted him badly on social media.
The Vikings have already clinched NFC North and locked a playoff spot. As for the Green Bay Packers, they are playing in a must-win game against the Vikings. They have to win out their remaining two games to even have a shot at a playoff spot.
