Jake Browning proved on Monday night that the Cincinnati Bengals can count on him in the absence of QB #1 Joe Burrow. He made the best Burrow impression by giving the Bengals a 21-14 lead late in the third quarter.

To the credit of their opponents on the day, the Jacksonville Jaguars came back strongly and took the lead 21-28 in the third quarter. Then Browning came back with a short touchdown of his own to level the scores.

Social media praised Jake Browning for leading the Cincinnati Bengals to a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars

It was the 27-year-old’s best-ever outing in the NFL since he was drafted back in 2019 by the Minnesota Vikings. However, he never managed to dislodge Kirk cousins and was waived off. The Bengals claimed him off waivers in 2021 and added him to the practice squad.

Even though he rallied the Bengals to win against the 8-4 Jaguars, Jake Browning, in the post-game presser said that there were a few things that he would like to work ongoing ahead.

It was a big win. We really needed that one. It was fun to do it on Monday night against a really good Jacksonville team that will be in the playoff hunt going forward. It felt good. But it’s never as good as you thought. It’s never as bad as you thought. I am sure there's going to be something. When you win, it feels like you are the greatest player in the world, but then you watch the tape and say, 'Oh God!

The Bengals kept their playoff chances alive with the win. They are currently at the bottom of the AFC North, but a string of victories can change that in a jiffy. Their next opponents are the Indianapolis Colts.
