On Sunday, MVP frontrunner Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles went against the San Francisco 49ers in a much-anticipated week 13 matchup. Both teams indulged in a lot of trash-talking ever since they went against each other in the NFC Championship game earlier this year. The game meant a lot to both teams and the Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter couldn’t contain his emotions after getting humiliated on the field.

During the final minutes of the third quarter, the Eagles were trailing by 15 points. During the crucial moment in the game, the Eagles rookie Carter received a personal foul penalty after he was involved in a pushing and shoving incident with San Francisco offensive lineman Matt Pryor.

After receiving a penalty, Carter could be seen distraught on the sidelines. The rookie defensive lineman was seen sobbing as Philadelphia’s head coach Nick Sirianni tried to consolidate him. The brief video of Carter crying on the sidelines went viral on social media and accumulated more than 2.7 million views within just hours of posting. Check out the footage attached below.

This incident happened just a few minutes after a big altercation broke out between both teams’ players which resulted in multiple evictions. The 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw and the Eagles’ chief security officer Dom DiSandro both involved in a touching and pushing incident and got evicted by the officials.

Jalen Carter is having a great rookie campaign in 2023, but he couldn’t help his team on Sunday against the San Francisco-based football team. Carter couldn’t penetrate the 49ers offensive line to complete a sack on Brock Purdy. Carter and the Eagles’ defense were picked apart by Purdy, who registered 300-plus passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns in the Niners’ week 13 victory.

As previously mentioned, a brief video of Jalen Carter crying on the sidelines went viral on social media. As a result, many people started trolling the young defensive lineman.

Amidst the heavy trolling, Carter hit back at his haters by posting this message on his Instagram story:

I’ll rather cry for losing a game then cry that I’m still broke yall get yall life together
Carter posted on his Instagram profile.

In the end, the Eagles ended up suffering a humiliating 19-42 loss against their rivals 49ers. However, they still hold the No.1 seed in the NFC playoff picture and are looking to win out their remaining games.
