The Philadelphia Eagles led by their MVP candidate QB Jalen Hurts surprised a lot of people by totally dominating the tough San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Conference Championship game on Sunday. However, the George Halas Trophy presentation ceremony has revealed Jalen Hurts’ one crucial weakness, i.e., his singing.
One man cannot have all the skills and the Philadelphia franchise QB is a prime example of that. Hurts is a dual-threat quarterback, an exceptional leader, and a great teammate, but the one thing the MVP candidate is not is a Singer. The quarterback butchered the famous “Fly Eagles Fly” fight song on the stage while during the trophy presentation.
Hurts tried hard to sing without laughing but was just smiling throughout the song. He butchered the song so badly even his teammate WR AJ Brown could not control his laughter. Fly Eagles Fly is a fight song for the Philadelphia Eagles, which is played after each TD in home games and during the pre-game and post-game festivities.
During this hilarious segment, Hurts was accompanied by his Eagles teammates and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw on the stage. While it was nice to the Oklahoma product enjoying his moment, it’d be good for him and Philly if he doesn’t quit his day job.
Social media comically mocks the Eagles QB Jalen Hurts
Fans on social media brought out their funny side in full force to mock the Eagles’ starting QB Jalen Hurts for his singing skills during the trophy presentation following the NFC Championship game.
The Eagles QB played a substantial role in his team’s victory as he completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 121 yards. Furthermore, he also used his legs effectively as he carried the rock 11 times for 39 yards and one TD while averaging 3.9 yards per attempt.
The Fans hailed the third-year QB for his on-field excellence and wanted him to keep his day job after he outed himself as a terrible singer while singing the “Fly Eagles Fly” fight song. Even the Philadelphia natives joined the trolling of their franchise QB.
On the sporting side of things, the Eagles didn’t have a problem with defeating the NFC West Champions on Sunday and now, they will be preparing to face the AFC Champions Kansas City Chiefs led by MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl on Feb 12.
