On Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks suffered a brutal 35-41 loss against the Dallas Cowboys in their week 13 matchup. The Seahawks lost the game despite not punting the ball once in the entire game. Following the rough loss, the Seahawks’ defense received a lot of criticism, and defensive back Jamal Adams couldn’t handle it.

The Seahawks defensive back Jamal Adams took to social media to take a direct shot at a New York beat reporter, who seemingly criticized Adams. Connor Hughes, a New York beat reporter, shared a brief video of the Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson scoring a touchdown on Adams and captioned it ‘Yikes.’

Adams took the light criticism to his heart and shared a close-up picture of Hughes’ wife and captioned it ‘Yikes’, which he ended up deleting a few hours later. However, his immature response riled up a lot of people on social media and caused massive outrage.

But, instead of owning up to his mistake, Adams doubled down on it and insinuated that it was the reporter’s fault for starting the entire thing.

Don’t start nothin won’t be nothin.
Adams wrote on his social media profile X.

As a result, Adams has been at the receiving end of massive scrutiny. Many other New York beat reporters took Hughes’s side to bash the Seahawks defensive back, who crossed a line by involving a reporter’s family.

Jamal Adams receives heavy criticism for his bizarre stunt

The Seahawks defensive back Jamal Adams’ bizarre stunt of going after a reporter’s wife did not sit well with many people on social media. A few New York beat reporters bashed Adams by sharing old incidents of Adams when he played for the New York Jets.

I’ve covered a lot of players through the years. Never met any who was more of a phony than Jamal Adams. I always thought he was a bad guy. Today he proved he is even worse than I thought.
Brian Costello of the New York Post wrote on his profile.

Many others also joined and bashed Adams for his bizarre stunt. Nonetheless, as previously mentioned, Adams refused to apologize and even doubled down on his take.

On the sporting side of things, the Seahawks suffered a brutal loss against the Cowboys despite putting up 35 points. The Cowboys QB Dak Prescott furthered his MVP case by registering 3 touchdowns on Thursday.

With that loss, the Seahawks fell to a flat 6-6 record and are currently hoping to secure a wildcard spot. Next, they are scheduled to face their NFC West division rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, in their week 14 matchup.
