Russell Wilson didn’t have the reception he would have expected with the Denver Broncos. The Super Bowl-winning QB was traded from the Seattle Seahawks with massive expectations.
However, it didn’t work out that way and he failed massively. The Broncos QB was statistically the worst QB in the league and Denver fans were tired of supporting their star QB.
Surprisingly, Wilson received a similar treatment from Jamal Murray, who just won the NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets. Wilson was present for the last game where the Denver Nuggets triumphed over the Miami Heat.
The former Seahawks QB was present with his popstar wife Ciara and their kids. The controversial incident occurred during the post match celebrations where Murray completely ignored Russell Wilson while making his way back to the locker room.
Although, Murray wouldn’t have ignored Wilson intentionally and was just occupied with something else at the moment. Whatever the reason may be, Wilson became a laughing stock on social media yet again.
Russell Wilson was also accompanied by Sean Payton and Peyton Manning. However, they weren’t present for the post-game celebrations and Wilson had to deal with the embarrassment alone. On the other hand, Wilson prepares for a stellar comeback under the leadership of new HC Sean Payton.

The Denver Broncos were one of the worst teams in the NFL last season. Russell Wilson and Co. had an abysmal losing record, therefore, it was time for some widespread changes.
The Broncos QB took center stage on social media when he was ignored by the NBA champion. Many started to blame his form for that, while others took shots at his capabilities.
NFL Twitter was bustling with trolls and roasts. However, there were also some who showed support for Wilson. Many pointed out that Murray didn’t intentionally miss the Broncos QB but it was just a mistake on his part.
Russell Wilson and the Broncos will be hoping for a major turnaround next season under the leadership of Sean Payton. Wilson will love to silence all his haters and doubters after getting back to his old form.
