Sauce Gardner vs. Travis Kelce. Now that is a tasty matchup. The New York Jets will face the defending champions the Kansas City Chiefs in their next game. Although the teams are on the opposite spectrum of the NFL ladder, the matchup between Jets’ DB Sauce Gardner and Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce will be an exciting spectacle.
Corners don’t usually line up against the opposing team’s tight ends, but this is a bit different. Kelce is QB Patrick Mahomes‘ number-one target and one of the greatest pass-catching tight ends in league history. Gardner will be expected to line up against Kelce on various occasions throughout the game and the young DB is ready for the challenge.
Gardner talked about his matchup with the TE in an interview with The Post on Friday. “I always want to go against the best, no matter what position it is,” he said. “The best teams, the best receivers, the best tight ends. No matter who it is.” Gardner also said that he is expecting to line up against Kelce even though that is not a primary assignment of a cornerback. “I do expect that, I think I match up with him pretty well. It’s just me. I know myself,” he added.
The Jets have lost their last two games and are 1-2 to begin the season. The Chiefs on the other hand have won their previous two games after a disappointing opening night loss to the Detroit Lions. These two teams will play each other on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium.

Sauce Gardner accused Patriots QB Mac Jones of hitting his ‘private parts’
The New York Jets vs. New England Patriots game had a controversial incident late in the game. The Jets’ cornerback Sauce Gardner accused the Patriots’ QB Mac Jones of hitting his ‘private parts’ after a QB sneak. Gardner shared the video on his Twitter account with the caption, “Posting this so I don’t get fined lol.”

“He had got tackled,” Gardner said after the game. “He reached his hand up to try to, like, get me to help him up. And I just moved his hand out of the way. Then, when he gets up (and) he just comes up to me like, ‘Good job.’ But while he’s said that, he hit me in my … he me in my private parts. You know what I’m saying?”
Jones later told the media that the hit wasn’t intentional and that he was only trying to get the first down. He wasn’t suspended for the incident as the NFL determined that there was no reason for a severe punishment.
