Joey Bosa injury update: When will the Chargers DE make his comeback?
The injury curse has come back to Joey Bosa's life as the DE suffered foot sprain in the game against Green Bay on Sunday.

Big blow for the Los Angeles Chargers as their star defensive end, Joey Bosa suffered a major injury in the game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The DE was subjected to a right foot injury during the fourth play of the game. He was seen limping by, putting all his weight on his left leg, and then fell to his knees on the sidelines. Bosa was later carted off by the team’s medical team.
In the third quarter, Bosa was seen on the sidelines. He was walking with the help of a pair of crutches. The Chargers later announced that he would not return to the field due to a foot sprain.

Bosa was seen covering his face with a piece of cloth while leaving the gridiron on a cart. It seemed that the DE was certain about the extent of the injury that he suffered. Though the Chargers have not posted an exact update on his injury, it seems he is set to miss out at least four games if not the whole season.

This will be a big blow to the Chargers as Bosa is one of the fiercest pass rushers to play currently. The Chargers man was drafted in 2016 and since then he has emerged as an absolute threat to the opposite offensive teams. Bosa ended his rookie season with 10.5 sacks and a ‘Defensive Rookie of the Year’ award.
The DE continued with his form in the coming years as he was selected Pro Bowl four times over the years. He was also clinical this season as the linebacker registered 6.5 sacks in nine games.
Injury has always been a concern in Joey Bosa’s career
Despite being one of the finest pass-rushers in the league, Bosa has always suffered from injury problems. His career has witnessed major halts over the years because of multiple injuries. It started in his rookie year when the DE missed four games due to a hamstring injury. In his third year, the pass-rusher suffered a foot ailment that limited his stint to only seven games.
His bad fortune even persisted in 2020 as the pass-rusher missed four games due to a placement of concussion protocol twice. In 2022, the DE suffered a groin tear in week 3 and missed 12 games in the season.

It is highly difficult to understand the severity of his injury this season. However, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, provided an update to Bosa’s injury. The reporter said Bosa did not tear his Achilles as the X-ray reports were negative.
