Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett married his girlfriend Amy Paternoster on June 24, 2023. The beautiful wedding took place at Pleasantdale Chateau in New Jersey, as reported by People magazine. A total of 275 guests attended the wedding ceremony.

Kenny Pickett and Amy Paternoster knew each other since childhood, but started dating each other during the 2021 spring break. “I knew when I first started dating Amy that I wanted to marry her,” Pickett said. The young gunslinger proposed to Amy before being drafted by the Steelers in the 2022 NFL draft.

The wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. Amy’s wedding dress was made by designer Galia Lahav, who is one of the best designers out there. There was a special mixologist to prepare the drinks at the bar, and an artist to draw the newlywed couple was also in attendance along with a variety of food that made it difficult to choose what to eat from.

Former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger didn’t want Kenny Pickett to succeed

Ben Roethlisberger played his entire 18-year NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and retired after the 2021 season. He walked off the gridiron of his own will and left his throne to Kenny Pickett.

The 2x Super Bowl champion recently admitted to Pickett on his podcast named “Footbahlin” that he didn’t want the rookie to succeed in his pro football career. Kenny Pickett showed maturity, as he understood where his predecessor was coming from. Playing for a franchise for two decades and making them a powerhouse in the league isn’t an easy task and seeing someone else have the same success as you did will make anyone salty.

The 25-year-old said, “He’s honest. He’s out front about it, and he’s a fan now, and he’s pulling for us, and it was really cool to hear him say that. … I think we’re just going to continue to build on that relationship.”

Even if Big Ben didn’t mean what he said initially, his wish did come true, as Kenny Pickett’s rookie season was average at best. He started in 12 games and had a 7-5 record as he threw for 2404 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. The Steelers ended the 2022 season with a 9-8 record and failed to make it to the playoffs.
