As the Indianapolis Colts decided to release the three-time All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard this season, he was approached by two of the leading teams this season — Philadelphia Eagles (10-2) and Dallas Cowboys (9-3). Leonard ultimately signed with the former, as he ought to play in the Super Bowl this season.

Although the Cowboys’ released a humble statement giving him the best wishes, it sure gave their opponents an upper hand. Eagles and Cowboys are facing each other on the coming Monday, in a highly anticipated divisional match that will decide their NFC standings. Therefore, neither of them can afford a loss if they aim for a playoff appearance.

While addressing the matter, former NFL wide receiver and sports analyst Keyshawn Johnson firmly put his opinion on the table, hinting toward Dallas’ not being a good enough team. He subtly warned the Cowboys fanatic, Skip Bayless to worry about Leonard’s addition in the Eagles, just a week before their game.

Johnson said in the Undisputed recent episode:

When you look at Shaq Leonard, there's two teams that were courting him in the same division -- Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys. Both, for most people thought, needed help in the run game, defensively at the middle linebacker position. You to Dallas Cowboys, you lose your guy…now all of a sudden, there's a gaping hole. Now they're saying, 'Let's go court Shaq Leonard.' Shaq Leonard made a decision to sit tight a week and then sign with Philadelphia Eagles because he realised there's an opportunity to maybe get back to the Super Bowl with the Eagles and this time, win it.

Johnson emphasized that Leonard’s decision to sign with the Eagles indicated that they are a better team, in comparison to the Cowboys. He argued the 3-time Pro Bowler came to his decision believing “if I go there, I can inject something in them to kick them over the top.” However, the same can’t be said for the Cowboys, he believes.

Why did Keyshawn Johnson think the Cowboys aren’t good enough?

Both the Eagles and Cowboys are considered to be at a near-equal position in the league, with the difference of just one game. However, sports analyst Johnson thinks otherwise as he said:

They [Cowboys] are not good enough.

He directed it towards Bayless.

Johnson believes Dallas does not have what it takes to make it to the NFC championship or the Super Bowl. Therefore, “You [Skip Bayless] should be worried.” The former NFL star emphasized that when a team lacks something, they go on and fix it. Like how the Eagles fixed their running problem by signing Leonard.

However, in the case of the Cowboys, they never actually implemented what they said needed fixing. Now as the team is scheduled to face off against the Eagles on the coming Monday, Johnson highly doubts their victory.
