Kroy Biermann recently accused his wife, Kim Zolciak, of punching him hard on the back of his neck a day before they filed for divorce. There had been tension brewing between the two for quite some time, as they had fallen on hard times due to financial issues.

Biermann (37), a former Falcons player, had been married to ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta” alumna Kim Zolciak (45) for the past 11 years. The couple lived with their four children at their Roswell, Georgia, home.

On May 4th, Zolciak called the cops after mentioning a domestic dispute. Biermann allegedly locked her belongings—jewelry and money—worth $175,000 away. But her counterclaim claimed that the goods were marital property and he was going to liquidate them to pay off some dues.

Biermann alleged that Zolciak lost a lot of money recently because of her gambling addiction. Moreover, they were even considering a separation or even a possible divorce as they could not manage their financial woes any longer.

But here comes the juicy part: Biermann apparently claimed that the former RHOA star punched him in the back of the head. It happened during an altercation between the two concerning property disputes just before the day of their divorce. However, the police said Biermann did not have any visible injuries. He even presented footage of the alleged incident. However, he did not press any charges against her.

After the finalization of their divorce, Biermann shared a heartfelt post on Instagram

Zolciek, in her defense, revealed that Biermann did not have work since his release from the Buffalo Bills roster in 2016. Apparently, Zolciek’s cosmetics company, KAB Cosmetics, first flagged the shortage of money.

After Zolciak filed for divorce, Biermann filed a counterpetition on May 9, stating that he wanted complete physical and legal custody of their four minor children. Kim initially wanted joint legal custody when she filed her petition a week prior.

Moreover, Kroy even asked for legal possession of his Georgia house. In the legal copy obtained by TMZ, it states that the pair owe the IRS more than $1 million in federal taxes. Furthermore, they even owe the state of Georgia $15,000 in unpaid taxes.

Moreover, their seven-bedroom mansion was put up for sale after they defaulted on the nearly $1.26 million loan they took out on the property. The Truist Bank, to whom they owed the money, almost sold it, but somehow they sorted things out. 

A source later disclosed to People magazine that Zolciak called the mansion fiasco a “misunderstanding” with Kroy’s bank. They had originally bought the house in 2012 and even filmed a tour called ‘Don’t Be Tardy.“
