“Is this the Jaguars’ Josh Allen?”: Kyle Brandt is in DISBELIEF over the Bills QB not making the top 10 players list

“Is this the Jaguars’ Josh Allen?”: Kyle Brandt is in DISBELIEF over the Bills QB not making the top 10 players list

Josh Allen and Kyle Brandt

Josh Allen is arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL, he had a stellar season last year with 409/646 completions, a completion percentage of 63.3, threw for over 4,000 yards, and ended with 36 touchdowns. He led the Buffalo Bills to the divisional playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs, a game that came down to the wire and was extremely close, it went to overtime and Josh Allen would have closed the game if not for the NFL’s overtime rules.

Despite falling short of the ultimate goal, which is a Super Bowl, Josh Allen did prove that he is the most valuable asset that the Buffalo Bills have, he is their franchise quarterback and he has shown that he can improve constantly on a yearly basis. In the last season, Josh Allen showed us that he has worked a lot on not only improving his throwing accuracy and arm strength but has also transformed himself into a much more versatile and mobile quarterback. The 700+ rushing yards last season are proof of that. But despite him improving his game and performing better last season, he ended up falling 3 spots to 13th overall in the NFL’s top 100 players of 2022.

Kyle Brandt calls Josh Allen being ranked at 13th as “AWFUL”

The rankings had a lot of Bills fans in disbelief, including Kyle Brandt of GMFB. He could not believe that despite having the best season of his career, Josh Allen was ranked behind 12 other players when in reality, he deserved to be on that top 10 list. If not improve his ranking, Brandt was hoping Allen would at least retain his spot at number 10. Take a look at what the analyst had to say.

“The NFL players for all their gifts and all their physical talents cannot see or hear apparently, did you watch a game last year? 13? And not like 6 or 9, 13? You thought there were 12 players better than No.17 on the Buffalo Bills? Never even mind the Chiefs game, what about the week before against the Patriots? I don’t know if a player has had back-to-back better games in NFL history than those two games. I get it you see the game differently and you don’t want to hear people who didn’t play the game but 13? Not 5, not 7, why not just make him 50, why not just have him out of the top 100? Are we talking about the Jaguars’ Josh Allen? This is the Bills quarterback and you have him at 13, this is AWFUL, what are you doing?” we get it, Kyle, Josh Allen did not deserve to fall off after that performance last season, he deserves to be in the top 10 just for jumping over a defensive back to record a first down.

Derrick Henry, Myles Garrett, and Travis Kelce beat Josh Allen this time, Jalen Ramsey also somehow managed to enter the top 10 and is now one of the best NFL picks, he played with two injured shoulders and made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro which is probably what swayed the players in his favor.

Anyways, Derrick Henry is a great running back but he was injured and played only 8 games last season, are we really going to put him above Josh Allen? No disrespect but that is the reality of the situation, Allen started all 17 games, we get that Henry’s injury was not voluntary, it was unfortunate but does that really mean he qualifies as a more valuable piece than Josh Allen?

Hopefully, Allen proves the list wrong by having a stellar season this year, and who knows, he could even win the MVP this time.
