Ex-Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph wants the Giants to continue with Daniel Jones and skip drafting a QB at No.6

The former tight end Kyle Rudolph does not come among the people who do not trust the New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Instead, he believes that Jones has every ability to become a quarterback like Josh Allen. In his latest interview with Up and Adams, the former Super Bowl-winning TE focussed on that.
The situation of Daniel Jones in The Giants is dealing with uncertainties. After beginning his career in 2019, he has not registered much success (at least franchise-wise) apart from one playoff run in 2022. The success in the 2022 season earned him a massive four-year deal that valued him at $160 million. However, the QB had major injury concerns and played just six games last year.
Following that, possibilities have emerged that the quarterback might be traded as the team still owns a No. 6 spot. But Rudolph thinks that it will be a mistake if the New York Giants trade the quarterback. He asked that the QB needs more time and more weapons in the attack.
The former TE noted while appearing on the Up and Adams Show:
I like DJ. I think he is super talented. I think he has the ability to be a Josh Allen-type quarterback. He has the athletic ability to run the football and he has an adequately strong arm to make every throw. Let’s stop messing around. I give the Giants credit, they’ve tried to bolster the offensive line with first-round picks and in free agency, but it hasn’t worked as well as they hoped. Can we get the guy a No. 1 wide receiver, please.Kyle Rudolph said
Kyle Rudolph is not the first one to exhibit faith in Daniel Jones
The person who stood for the quarterback is the owner of the New York Giants, John Mara. On multiple occasions, Mara claimed that Jones was unlucky not to taste success last year. He had multiple injury concerns, hence the owner advocated for a second chance to be given to him.
Mara said, via NFL Media:
I still have a lot of confidence in Daniel. I think the Daniel that we saw in 2022 is the real deal. Last year he was hurt, a lot of his offensive linemen were hurt, and things just did not go our way. But I still have all the confidence in the world in him. Hopefully he will be able to go by training camp, and yes, I think we all expect him to be the starter in 2024.John Mara said
Despite claiming that he wants Jones to return, Marra has not denied the possibility of trading Jones. He said that if the General Manager felt so, he could go for a different quarterback.
