L’Jarius Sneed admits Ja’Marr Chase is the WR that doesn’t like him the most adding fuel to the already ‘heated’ Chiefs-Bengals rivalry
Sneed claimed the NFL receivers don't like him because he doesn't backout from a challange.

L’Jarius Sneed was the backbone of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl-winning defense. He is one of the few cornerbacks in the NFL whom wide receivers prefer to avoid. Usually, it’s the other way around, but when it comes to Sneed, on most occasions, they leave with a gloomy face after the game.
After bagging his second Super Bowl ring on Sunday, February 11th, he gave an exclusive interview with Kay Adams, which aired on the YouTube channel Up and Adams. She continuously asked Sneed why so many receivers get frustrated when going up against him in a game.
They don't like me. I am one of those aggressive corners. They don't like aggressive corners. They always add a holding element there. That's what I like about my game. I love to get in a hit and get them out of their game. The 27-year-old gave a simple answer
During the 2023 regular season, Sneed registered 78 combined tackles, 2 picks, and defended 14 passes. It was more of the same in the postseason, with 17 tackles and one forced fumble. He received a PFF grade of 71.1 and narrowly missed out on a Pro Bowl nod.
Adams’ next question to Sneed was, Which receiver hates to play against the most? The Lousiana graduate didn’t hesitate to utter the name.
I think Ja'Marr Chase. He doesn't like the Chiefs period.
Why doesn’t Ja’Marr Chase like playing against L’Jarius Sneed?
Ever since the Cincinnati Bengals drafted Ja’Marr Chase, he has had a bone to pick with the Chiefs. Besides breaking and setting records in his first-ever match against the Reds with 11 receptions for 266 receiving yards and touchdowns, the LSU alumnus has only faced despair on the other two occasions.
Both times, head coach Andy Reid gave Sneed the job to mark the Bengals playmaker. It paid dividends. He only managed a combined 10 receptions for 138 yards and no touchdowns.
Before their latest matchup in December 2023, Chase claimed that no one in the Chiefs’ defense could stop him from scoring. However, Sneed only limited him to 3 catches from 7 targets for 41 yards as the game ended 25-17 for the Chiefs.
We had some words, but you know…check the stats.

Yet Chase wasn’t ready to just up and take the defeat. His reaction to the loss was that the Chiefs placed two markers on him throughout the night.
I know what I see on paper, and I know what I see in the game. That’s why they double everybody. Because they can’t do it one-on-one.

Unlike the Chiefs offense, which was dropping passes left, right, and center, their defense was top-draw. As per the Pro Football Network, Steve Spagnuolo‘s brilliance propelled them to fifth place in the best defense of 2023.
Furthermore, as Sneed mentioned, Chase doesn’t like the Chiefs. These two teams, although based in different divisions, often face each other in the postseason. They met in the AFC Championship game back-to-back seasons. While in 2021 the Bengals won, the Chiefs exacted their revenge in 2022.
