On Saturday, the No.2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes went against the No.3 ranked Michigan Wolverines in a much-anticipated college football matchup. In the AP Top 25 showdown, the two teams fought hard, but the Buckeyes ended up losing the game in a rough way. Following the loss, Ohio State’s star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was left heartbroken and had to be consolidated by his teammate.

In a short video shared by BleacherReport on the social media platform X, the star wideout could be seen in distraught. He looked defeated as he slowly sat on the ground and seemingly contemplated the loss. His teammate Kayden McDonald kneeled down beside him to consolidate the talented wide receiver.

The brief clip of Harrison looking heartbroken went viral on social media and accumulated more than 1.6 million views within just hours of posting. Many fans took Harrison’s side and felt bad for the star wide receiver, who put on a show in the electric showdown between the two conference rivals.

Marvin Harrison Jr. had a great game against the Michigan Wolverines as he caught 5 passes for 118 yards and 1 touchdown while averaging a whopping 23.6 yards per carry. But he could not help his team outscore their rivals in their crucial game. As a result, Harrison and the Buckeyes suffered yet another defeat at the hands of their bitter rivals.

Still, Harrison continued his great campaign and is currently one of the frontrunners for the Heisman Trophy award. In the season, Harrison caught 62 passes for 1,093 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns.

Following the Ohio State Buckeyes’ rough loss against the Wolverines on Saturday, it didn’t take a lot of time for the conversation to shift around wide receiver Marvin Harrison’s future in football.

During the post-game press conference, reporters asked Harrison Jr. whether he would declare for the 2024 NFL Draft or stay with Ohio State for one more year.

Harrison Jr. is one of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. In fact, he is regarded as the best overall prospect in this year’s draft class. Some experts rate him as the best wide receiver prospect since Ja’Marr Chase. If he declares for the draft, he is expected to be a Top 10 pick.
