The Dallas Cowboys came out victorious in an extremely closely contested affair against last year’s Super Bowl contenders Cincinnati Bengals. The victory came courtesy of a minute flourish as they won the Week 2 fixture by a 20-17 margin.

And the major plaudits for the victory deservedly went to cornerback Trevon Diggs, for his immense defensive skills, which came to the fore in the final minute of the encounter with the Bengals all set to mount a winning Touchdown.

However, the Bengals’ offensive move wasn’t successful and the Cowboys snatched victory courtesy of a 50-yard field goal in the dying moments of the game. After the match, when things are generally put into perspective Trevon Diggs’ tackle emerged as the clear turning point for the victory.

Cowboys’ 23-year-old linebacker, Micah Parsons too acknowledged this fact and heaped praises on his teammate for pulling off that tackle in such a decisive moment of the game. Parsons also claimed that he felt it was the hardest they have ever seen Diggs tackle on the field, and it made them proud.

“That was huge. We even said that was the hardest we’ve ever seen Diggs tackle. He shot out like a cannon. I was proud of him. When I saw 7, I was shocked. That was huge momentum. Way to get off the field,” said Micah Parsons according to Jori Epstein on Twitter.
