The Philadelphia Eagles had a great season in 2022. Right from Week 1, the Eagles played their best football during the entire regular season and advanced to the playoffs where they defeated the New York Giants in the divisional playoffs and the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship to make it to the biggest stage in the NFL.

In the Super Bowl, Philly dominated right from the start and showed everyone that they were there to win it all. Jalen Hurts-led Eagles entered the second half of the game with a 10-point lead and it looked like the winner was already decided. However, the Chiefs bounced back in the last 30 minutes and the Eagles’ defense had no counter to their stellar offense.

Philadelphia’s offense was similar, if not better than the Chiefs. Many argued that Hurts could’ve won the Super Bowl MVP for the amazing numbers he put up. Other than Hurts, star wideout DeVonta Smith also had a memorable performance in Super Bowl LVII. He had 7 receptions for 100 yards, which was the most by any wide receiver that night and that includes Kansas City players.

DeVonta Smith has been extremely beneficial for the Eagles and has had a great impact on the offense ever since he was selected 10th overall in the 2021 NFL draft. He ended his second year in the league with 110 receptions 1393 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Recently Smith was spotted at an NBA game. The 24-year-old wide receiver has always been a basketball fan and was present to support the Boston Celtics at Wells Fargo Center.

Smith also got to ring a mock liberty bell before the game began. He was sitting courtside and enjoying the matchup and thanks to Jayson Tatum‘s game-winning  3-pointer, the Boston Celtics registered an easy 107-110 win over the 76ers. After the game ended, Tatum ran across the court to hug DeVonta Smith and even gave him his signed jersey.

Despite playing for the city of Philadelphia, Smith isn’t a huge fan of the 76ers. Let’s see if Philly’s basketball team can persuade Smith to join their fanbase in the future.
