Nick Wright is known for his unabashed remarks on NFL teams and quarterbacks. This time, he chose Josh Allen and his team Buffalo Bills after they suffered a setback against the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime last Sunday. After the loss, the Bills are now 6-6 after 12 games. Their postseason hopes are fading away and only some miracle can take them to the playoffs.
In this context, the ‘First Things First’ analyst chose head coach Sean McDermott and Josh Allen as his target of harsh words. He had some very clear thoughts on what’s the case with the Bill camp’s misfortune in OTS.
Through ‘What’s Wright?’ the analyst said:
I have been critical of Josh Allen, the entire team is built around the idea that we have a superhero quarterback... Sean McDermott has never won a single game in OT. Josh Allen as a starting quarterback has never won a single game in OT. You don't have a ton of history. With 20 seconds and even just one time-out. You have the entire field to work with, you can throw over the middle, you can try on the sideline, and you can throw 55 yards to win the game.
He later discussed the playoff possibilities for the Bills. The analyst did not seem hopeful about the Bills’ future this season. With the help of data, he enforced his points that the Bills have very little opportunity to reach the playoffs.
Their inconsistency can be held responsible for losing the momentum after having a start to their NFL campaign. They were 3-1 after their four games but only managed to win three in their next eight. Such has been their deep in form.
Is Josh Allen going to be traded?
After the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, talks are hitting the air that Josh Allen might get traded from the Buffalo Bills soon. The former NFL wideout and present-day analyst James Jones believes that Allen would not be a part of the squad anymore in the coming future.
I think Josh Allen will eventually be traded from the Buffalo Bills.James Jones on FS1’s SPEAK
There were speculations of relationships between players deteriorating inside the Bills’ dressing room. There were rumors that Josh Allen had a fallout with wideout Stefon Diggs. Diggs was apparently unhappy with Allen and there were speculations that he could leave the team soon.
