Odell Beckham Jr. gave fans a blast from the past.
Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the biggest stories of free agency this offseason. While the initial comeback period for the former Los Angeles Ram was expected to be towards the end of 2022, after further evaluation by the Dallas Cowboys, it was determined that it would not be advisable to play OBJ until the 2023 season which negatively impacted his trade value and once that news surfaced, teams quickly lost interest in him for the interim.
Now that Odell Beckham Jr. is done recovering and is ready to get back out there, teams are once again taking a closer look at him. The wideout worked out in Arizona earlier on Friday and had scouts in awe over the progress he has made. The NFL Free Agency commences on the 15th of March, which means with just days left, scouts and teams need to make up their minds on if they are interested in signing OBJ or not.
Nearly 12-14 teams showed up for the workout and OBJ even pulled off his iconic one-hand catch in one of those plays. However, one of the more interesting reports regarding the workout came from Jeremy Fowler, who spoke to people in attendance at the workout. The analyst states that Odell is reportedly more muscular now, which indicates that he has been hitting the gym and has gained considerable size on his frame.

Odell Beckham Jr. is looking BUILT as per scouts
The source that Fowler spoke to reportedly compared the new look of Odell Beckham Jr. to a combination of Saquon Barkley and Deebo Samuel. If true, that is a freakish combination, one that sounds like a build on Madden. The common consensus amongst scouts and those present at the workout was that despite his ACL injury, Odell Beckham is still as explosive as ever.
OBJ had top teams such as the Panthers, Giants, Patriots, Rams, Cardinals, 49ers, Bills, Chiefs, Vikings, Browns, and even the Ravens in attendance to see how he has healed from his injury. Now that scouts have seen firsthand how the wideout still has it in him, it is to be seen which team actually attempts to sign him. Fans were visibly surprised at the report’s description comparing OBJ to a combination of Saquon Barkley and Deebo Samuel. Take a look at their reactions:
OBJ reportedly is looking for a massive contract in the ballpark of $20 million a year, which is a good figure to dream about but considering that he is just coming off of an ACL injury, it is doubtful that he will get that kind of money.
What if…
Saquon is a big individual, he is nearly 235 pounds while OBJ is 200 pounds, that is a lot of muscle that the wideout would need to add in order to even come close to Barkley.

Hopefully, fans get to see the best version of Odell Beckham this season. If he does have a breakout season and shows that he can still play at the same level he is accustomed to, he will have a better shot at getting the contract he is looking for.
