Packers-Chiefs weather forecast: Will it snow in Green Bay during the SNF week 13 game?
There is a slight chance of snow at Lambeau Field during the Sunday Night matchup.
Lambeau Field (via Green Bay Packers)
The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football this week. It will be their first matchup since 2021, when the Chiefs defeated the Packers, 13-7 at home. The last time these two teams played in Green Bay was during the 2015 season. The Packers won that game 38-28. This will be Patrick Mahomes‘ first game at Lambeau Field.
It will be a fascinating contest between two historically great teams. The team that controls the little things well during the game will come out on top in this matchup.
However, the one thing that these two teams won’t have a say in is the weather. Green Bay is notorious for its cold weather, as it is one of the windiest cities in the country.
This week’s story, however, is a bit different, as there is only a 15% chance of snow in the city. The game won’t be affected by the weather, as the snow is forecast to appear in the afternoon.
The wind speed is supposed to be around 6–9 MPH, and the temperature might be around 31 degrees. It won’t be terrible weather, with only light snow and flurries here and there.
The Chiefs are 8-3 this season, whereas the Packers are 5-6. Kansas City is one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, as they have one of the best offenses in the league. The Packers, on the other hand, are in a rebuilding phase and are likely to try and make the playoffs this season.
Patrick Mahomes opened up about playing at Lambeau Field for the first time
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, has played in a lot of stadiums in his short career. However, the one place Mahomes has yet to play is Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
The QB will get his first taste of the historic venue tonight when the Chiefs take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. He opened up about playing at Lambeau for the first time.
"I'm extremely excited for it. I've watched it my whole entire life, and I know it's going to be a hostile environment; the fans are going to be loud, it's going to be a lot like GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is to other teams. If you love football, you love Lambeau Field.Mahomes said, per team transcript
Mahomes so far this season has led his team to an 8-3 record. He has racked up 2,917 passing yards and 21 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He has a rating of 96.3 and is hoping to lead his team to the Super Bowl again this season.
