Football is room to some of the wildest fanbases in all of sports. While it is usually the Philadelphia Eagles who are known for their notorious and rather unforgiving fanbase, there is another team whose fanbase is easy to overlook. It is none other than that of the Green Bay Packers. The crowd at Lambeau Field goes crazy just like the weather there.
Unsurprisingly, it feels great to play amid hostile crowds, especially as a visiting team. The satisfaction and happiness of silencing the entire home crowd is parallel to none. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs is looking forward to playing his first-ever game at Lambeau Field this Sunday. Despite having played in the NFL for 6-years, Mahomes has never played in Lambeau field.
Ahead of his Lambeau debut, the quarterback expressed his anticipation towards this and told reporters in Kansas City this week,
I'm extremely excited for it. I mean, I've watched it my whole life. I know it's gonna be a hostile environment, and the fans are gonna be loud. It's gonna be a lot like Arrowhead is to other teams but I'm excited.
Unforgiving crowds and unforgiving weather make Lambeau Field a venue like no other.
Patrick Mahomes is yet to play an NFL game in Lambeau Field
Mahomes believes in one thing,
If you love football, you love Lambeau Field.
It is pretty surprising that despite having won the NFL MVP honors award twice, the Super Bowl, and the Super Bowl MVP twice, he has not played a single game in Lambeau Field yet.
The venue boasts of hosting some of the greatest footballers in NFL history, from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, Lambeau has been a rough battleground for teams for a long time. The Kansas City Chiefs have played just twice at Lambeau Field since Mahomes was drafted, one of which was in the preseason that the QB opted to sit out and the other in which he was sidelined owing to a knee injury.

“They’ve been playing great football all year.. Jordan (Love’s) gotten better & better every single game.. they have playmakers everywhere.. & their defense can plays.” pic.twitter.com/OJcMlPkdUZ
The Green Bay Packers have been overlooked ever since Rodgers’ departure. However, the team managed to win its last two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Detroit Lions.
Mahomes made sure to give Jordan Love his flowers,
Jordan has gotten better and better every single game. He's always had the talent, but when you get more and more reps...you can see how much more comfortable he's getting.
It will be fascinating to see how Mahomes’ first performance at the historic Lambeau Field pans out against a Green Bay Packers led by a hungry and ambitious Jordan Love.
