Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were the hosts for the 2023 NFL draft. The talented QB even made an appearance during the draft. He also made an appearance with the iconic Lombardi Trophy on day 1.

After the draft ended, Mahomes and his wife Brittany prepared for some post-draft festivities and called many familiar faces to celebrate with them. Mahomes was incredibly excited about the draft and even tweeted about it asking the people of Kansas to get excited about the draft.

During the draft, the Chiefs QB was present with his family in Union State park. After the draft, his wife Brittany Mahomes decided to throw an incredible party while inviting several guests.

She also posted numerous pictures on her Instagram and it also featured Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole. Kelce and Mahomes are teammates and close friends. Therefore, it was surprising that the Chiefs’ TE wasn’t present for the festivities.

Kayla and Travis have been in an on-and-off relationship for quite some time now. They are one of the most controversial couple in the NFL and this new update indicates that they are closer than what people think.

It is also speculated that Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson Mahomes was also present at the party due to his comments on Brittany’s pictures. Jackson has also found himself in the midst of controversy including Kayla Nicole.

Patrick Mahomes changed the Chiefs after being drafted by them

The 2017 NFL draft was quite interesting due to various reasons. Patrick Mahomes was a young QB back then from Texas Tech University. However, he was never expected to be a top 5 overall pick that year.

Instead, he was pushed late in the first round or the start of the second round. The Chiefs had a different plan going into the draft and had already drafted their franchise QB in Alex Smith. However, HC Andy Reid saw something in young Mahomes and quickly decided to trade up on the list and grab the QB.

It was maybe the best decision that the Chiefs have ever made in their life. Since then, they have appeared for 3 Super Bowl finals and won 2 of them. Their only loss came against the Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After winning 2 Super Bowls already, Patrick Mahomes is just 27 years old and wants to win more for his team and the city of Kansas while cementing himself as one of the greatest to play the game.
