The Kansas City Chiefs did not have the stats that they wanted as the 2023 regular season is near the final stage. With eight wins and four losses, they are still standing on the top horizon after 12 games. However, those four losses had hampered their rhythm a bit. They failed to show the dominance that they showed in the past few seasons.
In this present context, the team is all set to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The rivalry between the Bills and the Chiefs in recent history has caught the attention of the NFL crowd. The Bills are presently standing at the 6-6 record. If they have to keep their hopes for the playoffs alive then the game against the Chiefs is a must-win for the Josh Allen-led side.
Ahead of the game, Patrick Mahomes was asked about whether he feels any disappointment in the dressing room after losing four games this season and looking rusty so far. Mahomes is someone who loses hope, irrespective of the odds that he faces. This time it was also not an exception.
Answering the question, the second-highest-paid quarterback in the league said that he does not feel any negativity. He also cited that he was a part of the Chiefs team that won a Super Bowl despite having a 6-4 record.
I have not. I have been on a team that was 6-4 and I think we won the Super Bowl. So..
His voice reflected confidence that the Chiefs could win this year’s SB title as well. However, Mahomes knows pretty well that the team needs to be on its toes against the Bills to keep their hopes alive.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs had a disappointing result against the Green Bay Packers
Before the Green Bay Packers game, Mahomes was striving in excitement to play in the Lambeau stadium. In his long career in the league, he never had the good fortune to play in the stadium. Lambeau was motivated to play in front of a huge Green Bay crowd. Probably, he wanted to silence the large crowd.
However, his dream did not come true as it was Jordan Love, the QB outclassed Mahomes and his team. With three touchdowns for 267 yards, the Packers QB stunned everyone. The Chiefs had to suffer a 19-27 defeat in front of the QB’s brilliance.
It is to be seen how the Chiefs make a comeback after the poor the unexpected loss against the Packers.
