On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins led by their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went against the Las Vegas Raiders in their week 11 matchup. The Dolphins were coming off a bye week and had a new energy for the crucial game. Before the game, however, the referees told wide receiver Tyreek Hill to pull out his signature ‘peace sign’ during the game.

On Tuesday night, the HBO show Hard Knocks’ in-season edition made its debut on Television. In the show, Hill can be seen having a conversation with the referees ahead of the Dolphins-Raiders game. During the conversation, referee Bill Vinovich told Hill not to flash any peace signs.

Two things, make sure we get set on the shifts and no peace signs.
Vinovich told Hill

Hill, who was having a friendly conversation with the referees, was visibly flabbergasted by Vinovich’s advice. But the All-Pro pass catcher played it off with a funny joke.

But I'm trying to spread world peace.

At this rate, Tyreek Hill might drop his signature peace sign celebration. Just a month ago, the NFL fined the Dolphins wide receiver $10,927 for taunting during their week 5 game against the New York Giants.

Hill flashed a peace sign as he sprinted into the endzone to complete a 69-yard receiving touchdown in the third quarter of the game. Even in the game, referees threw a flag on the field and called a taunting penalty on the speedy wideout.

Tyreek Hill is having a historic year with the Dolphins

Ahead of the 2023 season, Tyreek Hill claimed that he is planning to break the NFL‘s single-season receiving yards record. Many thought he wouldn’t be able to do that, but Hill is right on pace to break that record.

Hill recently became the first player in the last 62 years to register 1200 or more receiving yards in the first 10 games of the season. Apart from Hill, only 4 other players have been able to achieve that feat.

The 29-year-old wide receiver has caught 79 passes for 1,222 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns through the first 11 weeks of the ongoing season. He is on pace to register 2,077 yards and 15 touchdowns in the 2023 regular season. No one in the history of the league has ever registered 2000-plus receiving yards in a single season.

Tyreek Hill will look to continue his good form and register another great game against the New York Jets, who the Dolphins are scheduled to face in their week 12 matchup.
