The Deshaun Watson saga is still not over and the quarterback will not fret at the possibility of getting his worst nightmares true. The 26-year-old might have heaved a heavy sigh of relief after he was previously handed a 6-game suspension by disciplinary officer Sue L Robinson.
However, the 6-game suspension might not stand anymore given the fact that the NFL has appealed the previous judgement made by Robinson, who claimed that Deshaun Watson’s sexual harrasment cases were of a nonviolent nature.

Peter C. Harvey will make the decision of whether Deshaun Watson’s suspension will be increased as appealed by the NFL
The NFL has made it distinctly clear that they want a stricter punishment under the league’s personal conduct policy, one of which was an indefinite suspension which lasts for atleast a year along with a hefty fine. Roger Goodell has therefore appointed former New Jersey Attorney General Peter C. Harvey to hear the appeal made by the NFL.
“The NFL’s appeal addresses whether, based on the findings made by Judge Robinson, the discipline should be modified to include a professional evaluation and treatment as determined by medical experts, an appropriate fine, and a longer suspension,” the league said in a statement.
The NFL have also attached a condition that the quarterback needs to undergo treatment along with the mentioned fine and suspension. However, a timeline has not been set as to when Peter C. Harvey would be hearing Deshaun Watson’s case but it will be done on an expedited basis.
Peter C. Harvey is a member of the NFL’s diversity advisory committee and was also one of the four members of an expert panel who reviewed the league’s domestic violence investigation into Ezekiel Elliot. The Dallas Cowboys running back was eventually suspended for 6 games for violating the conduct policy.
