A much promising season for the Dallas Cowboys ended in a disappointing manner as they lost at home in the NFC Wildcard Game against the San Francisco 49ers where they were the heavy favorites coming into the game due to the excellent talent on their roster and their great performances throughout the season which gave the fans the belief that this can turn into something big.

After their shocking loss to the 49ers, uncertainty began brewing about the position of the coaches and players as many thought that there could be significant outgoings from the team due to this shocking exit against the 49ers.

However, the franchise has not decided not to part ways with any coaches or big players as they trust that they are the right people to guide this team towards success. but if they fail next season we can expect some big changes on the team, especially at the head coach position.

Ezekiel Elliot, who was a part of the talks regarding his future at the club due to salary cap issues that the Cowboys will be facing heading into the next season will be apparently staying with the team like the Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said, “I want Zeke on my team…”, referring that the star Running Back will be with the team no matter what.

Stephen Jones further talked about Ezekiel Elliot and said, “You talk about playing through some injuries, I mean, he is a competitor. I think he’s a damn good running back and I think he’s going to help us win. Obviously, his contract, his money is guaranteed. He’s going to be here.”

It is certainly clear that the Cowboys want to run it back without making many personnel changes and still trust his big players like Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot who are the leaders of their team and changing them can disrupt the chemistry between the players and next season certainly will be a deciding factor on what is to come next for the franchise.

If they fail to fulfill expectations next season then we can expect some big changes on the team, especially at the head coach position with Sean Payton being rumored to take over from Mike McCarthy in the future.
