All eyes are on Russell Wilson as he’s set to restart his stint with the Denver Broncos under new head coach Sean Payton. Wilson had a disappointing outing last year in Denver and failed to meet the expectations of the experts and fans. And now, Wilson is ready for his year 2 challenges as he claims to be in the best shape of his life.

During the Broncos OTAs, Russell Wilson looked visibly thinner, but he hasn’t revealed how much weight he has lost. Wilson claims he feels leaner than last year and is looking forward to leading the Broncos back to winning ways.

“I wanted to have the best offseason of my life,’’ Wilson said recently according to ESPN. “Ultimately, we want to be the best version of ourselves.“I’m better than ever, I feel great, I feel lean and mean and ready to go.’’

Per reports, the Denver-based football team has completely changed their strength and conditioning staff as they want to keep their players fit as possible. Last season, when the 8-time Pro Bowl QB joined the Broncos in a blockbuster trade, many people complained that Wilson’s upper body looked bigger than his previous years.

And it showed in his performances as the Broncos’ franchise QB had one of the worst seasons in his career and led his team placing dead last in the AFC West with an abysmal 5-12 record. But now he looks to right his wrongs in the upcoming season.

The Denver Broncos made a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks last off-season to acquire the Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson. However, before signing with the Broncos, Wilson almost joined the Philadelphia Eagles, but the QB ended up rejecting them.

According to reports, the Eagles wanted to sign Wilson and made an offer but Wilson refused to waive his no-trade clause to join the Eagles as he only wanted to play for the Broncos.

Wilson went on to have a disastrous season with the Broncos, but the Eagles hit a jackpot as their former 2nd-round draft pick Jalen Hurts ended up having a breakout season. Hurts finished second in the MVP voting last year and proved himself as someone capable of leading an NFL franchise.

As a result, Hurts signed a massive 5-year deal worth up to $255 million that made him one of the highest-paid NFL players of all time and Wilson is currently on his redemption arc in Denver.
