“Kicked out of practice after 3rd altercation in 3 days,” Saints rookie tackle Trevor Penning ousted from team’s training
It’s once again that time of the year for the NFL fans, with the regular season all set to start in a month’s time. Up until that the NFL franchises will take on the park for the preseason fixtures which would give them ample time to test out their plays and strategies on the pitch.
With the season nearing a start, however, all is not well within the New Orleans Saints. Their rookie left tackle Trevor Penning was involved in an altercation with defensive tackle Malcolm Roach, which led to both of them being ousted from training as it led to tension among the other teammates as well.

Trevor Penning was involved in a fight with a teammate for the third straight week
A teammate was required to shove aside Trevor Penning to break up his brawl with Roach as 10 more players joined in to maintain peace within the group. Penning, a first-round pick in 2022, had a fight with a defensive teammate for the third straight practice.
Payton Turner, a defensive end selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, appeared to punch him as the action came to a close on Monday as Turner was blocking him. Prior to it being stopped, Penning shoved him and the two exchanged punches.
“It’s football; we’re competing,” Penning said on Monday according to NFL.com. “It’s a tough game for tough people and you’ve got to be able to take that. There’s no bad blood between us. We’re just competitors competing.”
“It’s part of my game, I think. It’s just how I am as a player,” Penning said according to reporters on Monday. “But I’m obviously out there working technique. I’m trying to get better at the technique of the game, getting the blocks down. The finishing ability, that’s what I pride myself in, and that’s always going to be part of my game.”
