The Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson is not having a good time ever since he left Seattle for the Denver-based football team. The Star QB caught an unnecessary stray from the Seahawks’ rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen, who is not impressed by Wilson’s build.

During a recent episode of the 2 Up 2 Down podcast, the Seahawks rookie made an appearance to talk about his remarkable rookie season. In the episode, he also talked about the former Seahawks and current Broncos franchise quarterback Russell Wilson, where he said that the 9-time Pro Bowl QB doesn’t look impressive in person. “ Seeing him in person, it was pretty funny, cause on TV and stuff, you see him like from college and stuff, you like okay he look in shape on TV. But you see him in person, it’s, like, weird,” Tariq Woolen said. “He’s like a sack of potatoes.”

Furthermore, Woolen went on to claim that Wilson looks shorter in person. “Literally, when I seen him, I’m like, ‘dang, I didn’t know he was built like that,’” the Pro Bowl cornerback continued. “And he was short. I’m tall anyway but I was like, ‘damn, he’s that short?!’

At 5-11′ and 215 pounds, Russell Wilson may not seem like your ideal NFL quarterback. However, the 23-year-old corner was still impressed by the athletic ability of the former Super Bowl Champion. “The crazy thing is he’s athletic,” the Seahawks rookie said during a recent episode of the 2 Up 2 Down podcast. “He’s athletic and he’s a good player.”

Ever since he was traded to the Denver Broncos, the star QB Russell Wilson has severely underperformed with his new team. Moreover, he has been subjected to a lot of criticism during the last season for his on-field failures and off-field corniness.

But Wilson might be able to turn the tide around in his favor next season as he is getting ready for a new ride under his new head coach Sean Payton. The hiring of Payton certainly looks like a good decision by the Broncos’ management for now.

However, there’s still doubt among fans and experts about Payton and Wilson working together in harmony to keep the ride smooth throughout the season. Only time will tell the answer to it.

Furthermore, the Broncos do not have draft capital or cap space to add more pieces to their team but their general manager George Paton will surely do everything he can to put add some weapons for Russell Wilson to help him lead this team in the right direction.
