Sean McDermott has been the head coach of the Buffalo Bills since 2017 and has done a great job in dominating the division completely. The Bills were a force to reckon with last year. They impressed greatly during the regular season and Josh Allen was one of the best QBs in the league.

Sadly, they couldn’t make it to the Super Bowl and lost out to the Bengals in the divisional round of the NFL. The Buffalo-based team has never won the Super Bowl. However, currently, they boast one of their best squads ever and have the closest chance to win the Super Bowl.

HC McDermott understands that and desires to keep dominating the division and fight for the Super Bowl in the next season as well. Although the Bills have been dominant since 2010, this year it seems like it will be a tough job for them.

The Dolphins, Patriots, and Jets, everyone has found reinforcements for their squad. The Dolphins have traded for Jalen Ramsey while the Patriots have signed JuJu Smith-Schuster to beef up their offense. However, the most dominant are the Jets who are looking to sign one of the best QBs of all time, Aaron Rodgers.

The Bills HC is aware of this adversity and has also applauded the other teams for their worthy addition. On the other hand, he also desires to keep dominating the division like before.

“Yeah, we have a tremendous amount of respect for them,” McDermott stated in an interview with NFL Network. “Not only at the coach level but at the talent level they’ve been able to accrue. You look across the division, and to your point, it’s impressive. So, we have to make sure we continue to reinvent ourselves to stay on top of the division.”

The Buffalo Bills have also made some incredible signings and re-signed vital players for their Super Bowl push this season. To challenge the bigger teams like the Chiefs and the Eagles, HC Sean McDermott will need all the help he can get.

Bills GM Brandon Beane has signed former Patriots RB Damien Harris to give support to their star QB. The Bills have also extended Matt Milano’s contract. However, the return of the Pro Bowl safety Jordan Poyer is the most exciting signing in Buffalo and even McDermott agrees to that.

“Yeah, leadership right away,” McDermott said. “The edge of our defense when Jordan plays, we have a certain edge to us, and that’s a great quality that a player can add that to a team in addition to what he already adds in the X’s and O’s doing his job. That edge, that dog that he adds to our defense, is well known.”

The Bills are thoroughly optimistic going into the 2023-24 season and will hope to make it their best year yet while also winning the Super Bowl for the first time under Sean McDermott’s leadership.
