Russell Wilson was one of the worst-performing QBs in the previous season of the NFL. The former Seahawks QB was signed by the Broncos to change their fortunes. Sadly, the only thing he managed to do was make them even worse.
The Broncos had one of the worst records in the league and it was time to make some widespread changes. The new Broncos management decided to make some difficult decisions and fired former HC Nathaniel Hackett before the season even ended.
However, now it feels like the Broncos are headed in a better direction, as they have hired one of the legendary coaches of the NFL in Sean Payton. Payton is a tactical genius who is known to make average teams thrive in difficult conditions.
Another specialty that Payton possesses is that he can make QBs perform exceptionally. This can be great news for Wilson, who is struggling with form. Nonetheless, it was recently reported by an insider source that Payton doesn’t have the patience and will make some difficult decisions if the Broncos QB won’t be able to find his old form in the next season.
“I don’t think Sean Payton likes Russell Wilson. He’s got one year to prove himself or Payton will move on,” reported via Matthew Berry of NBC Sports.
According to the reports, Russell Wilson probably has a one-year audition with legendary HC Sean Payton. Otherwise, ‘DangeRuss’ will have to move on from the Broncos.

The former Saints HC Sean Payton is at the Broncos to make some serious changes. The Denver-based team was a laughingstock last season, in spite of spending millions of dollars in confirming their star signing, Russell Wilson.
The Broncos have a plethora of offensive weapons at their disposal and Payton will be excited to use them to their full capabilities. However, the only question remains if Wilson will be around to lead the offense or not.
If the new reports are to be believed, then the Super Bowl-winning QB has just one season to get back to his feared Seahawks form, or else, Payton will find another QB who can do his job better than him. Russell Wilson was one of the best QBs in the league a few seasons ago. Maybe, the Broncos QB is just going through a slump and will be back stronger than ever.
