The Carolina Panthers have finally decided to let go of their head coach, Frank Reich, after a poor 1-10 record so far this season. Reich was hired this offseason in hopes of leading a rebuild in Carolina. However, that hasn’t gone to plan as the Panthers have been the worst team in the league. They drafted QB Bryce Young with the first overall pick this year, but that hasn’t led to winning games.

Reich’s tenure lasted only 11 games. He managed to win just one game as the Panthers struggled to create an identity under him. His firing was sudden, as a lot of the Panthers players got to know about it on social media. Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will take over as the team’s interim head coach for the rest of the season. Reich’s last game as the Panthers’ head coach was a 10-17 defeat to the Tennessee Titans.

I've been told by multiple #Panthers players that they found out about Frank Reich's firing through social media. A team meeting was called shortly thereafter.

Reich’s only win as the Panthers’ head coach came against the Houston Texans in week 8. The former Indianapolis Colts HC won a Super Bowl in 2017 as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ offensive coordinator. It will be interesting to see what Reich’s next destination would be.

Fans slam the Panthers for not telling the players directly about Frank Reich’s firing

The Carolina Panthers‘ decision to fire head coach Frank Reich might not be a surprise, but the way the Panthers’ players found out about the firing was a bit skeptical. According to Mike Kaye on X, some of the Panthers’ players found out about it on social media.

The Panthers’ organization called a meeting immediately after, but the damage was already done. Reich struggled to win games this season as the Panthers are 1-10 through 12 weeks of the season. Fans on social media were furious to know the fact that the players found out about the firing through social media. Here are some of the reactions.

Reich was hired during the offseason. He had a great track record in his previous seasons in various different roles. However, his Panthers tenure did not get off to a great start and it continued that way through 11 games. The Panthers will be coached by special teams coordinator, Chris Tabor for the rest of the season.
