Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless is well-known in the sporting world for his controversial and hot takes. In that trend, Bayless has now stirred the pot again as says that he would trust Tom Brady more than Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes in clutch situations despite Brady’s poor run in recent times.
Bayless has been an open Tom Brady fan for quite some years now and he continues to push Brady’s agenda in his show in recent times. Speaking on his show UNDISPUTED with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless first said that Joe Burrow has proven in a short time that he is more clutch than Patrick Mahomes. “Joe Burrow to me has proven in a short time to be a little more clutch than Patrick Mahomes,” said Bayless.
Skip further said that if the conversation was about the all-time clutch player, it wouldn’t even be a debate because Brady would be the unanimous winner of that title. “If we want to start going back in time, there’s that guy down in Tampa and you’re not gonna be able to compete if I start dredging up all the things that he’s done,” said Bayless to Sharpe on a recent episode of their show.

Bayless went on to continue that in the biggest picture, he would take Brady over anyone to save the game. “In the biggest picture, there’s still that guy who’s 45 down in Tampa and this is just me, if my life is on the line right here right now, I’m just telling you I want the ball in his (Brady) hands,” said Skip about Brady. “If my life and the game is on the line with 2 minutes, I want the ball in his hands because he is still the best.”
Skip then compared Brady to Burrow as he said, “The closest thing I see of the young quarterbacks to Brady in sort of style of play, in.. in the way they operate at quarterback Joe Burrow.”
However, he was still adamant about his decision to choose Brady over any other QB in the clutch situation. “But the guy who’s still at the peak of his 2-minute powers is that magic man down in Tampa,” said Bayless about Brady
Joe Burrow, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes all have eyes on the same prize but it’s not the “most clutch quarterback” title. They are all in the playoffs and would like to bask in the glory of the Super Bowl victory at the end of this season.
