As the most celebrated game in NFL, Super Bowl LVII ends with Philadelphia Eagles tasting a 38-35 loss against Kansas City Chiefs. Undoubtedly, fans, including celebrities, have many things to talk about. Just like anyone would have expected from an event of this size, it incorporated an energetic rush along with thrilling anticipation.
Unfortunately, what ruined the game’s momentum was a “bad call” by the officials that made NFL fans and even celebrities to take online platforms to vent their frustration. While prominent sports analyst Skip Bayless and NBA superstar LeBron James are poles apart, they both agreed that the call made the play turn in favor of the Chiefs giving them the victory.
Skip even went as far as to state that if anyone deserved the Super Bowl MVP title, it should’ve been Jalen Hurts who carried his team through Sunday night’s game. He stated, supporting Hurts, “I hate this for Jalen Hurts. He was the best player on the field.”

Skip Bayless continued saying, “If ever a player from the losing team deserved Super Bowl MVP – happened once before – Jalen Hurts deserves Super Bowl MVP.” LeBron James who also criticized the call like Skip noted, “Sorry but I don’t like that call! Not for the Super Bowl man!”
In reply, Skip posted on Twitter, “I HATE IT THAT SUCH A GREAT GAME WAS DECIDED BY SUCH A CHEAP BAD TICKY-TACK CALL. LET THE PLAYERS DECIDE A GAME LIKE THIS. JUST SICKENING.” Sunday’s call was definitely controversial as it wasn’t just these two people who called on it, but also NFL fans likewise.
As the Chiefs celebrated their win, the Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts reflected on the outcome of the game. He stated, “I think the beautiful part about it is everyone experiences different pain and everyone experiences different agonies of life”.
“But you decide what you want to learn from it. You decide if you want it to be a teachable moment. I know what I’ll do.” Though Skip Bayless may have been upset over the Eagles’ loss, he compared Patrick Mahomes tongue sticking habit with Michael Jordan’s signature move.
He tweeted, “I guess Mahomes is turning into Michael Jordan. Now he’s even got the tongue hanging out as he throws. Of course, that can be dangerous.” Hurts play played an important factor in the team’s reaching the Super Bowl event. They had to blast off New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers to reach the grand stage.
Hurts commented,“I think you want to cherish these moments,” he said. “You want to cherish these moments with the people that you come so far with. Your family, your loved ones, your teammates, your peers, everyone you do it with and do it for.”
“I’m so proud of this team. I’m so proud of this team for everything we’ve been able to overcome. Obviously we had a big time goal at the end that we wanted to accomplish and we came up short.”
