The Dallas Cowboys, under their franchise quarterback Dak Prescott, are off to a great start in the 2023 NFL season. They have won their first two games and are looking to win their week 3 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. However, they have suffered a slight setback in their campaign as they lost their star cornerback Trevon Diggs for the rest of the season due to injury. And now, the Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless has reacted to the Cowboys losing Diggs for the entire season.

“I am DEVASTATED by the loss of Trevon Diggs. Just devasted. Gut-wrenched. Soul-crushed. Just when I thought …,” wrote Skip Bayless on his social media profile X (previously known as Twitter).

The UNDISPUTED host is a known Cowboys fan and was optimistic about his team’s Super Bowl chances because of the well-balanced team. Now, the Cowboys will lack depth in the secondary unit in the absence of Diggs. On Thursday, the Cowboys premium cornerback Trevon Diggs suffered an ACL injury during the practice and was ruled out for the remainder of the ongoing NFL season. This will be a massive blow to the Dallas-based football team’s secondary unit since he is one of their leaders in their defense.

Diggs established himself as one of the league’s best ballhawks when he had a breakout season back in 2021 and led the league in interceptions. As a result, the Cowboys gave a massive 5-year $97 million extension for the starting cornerback.

Nevertheless, he showed a lot of improvement in his coverage in the Cowboys’ first 2 games. He had registered 4 tackles and 1 interception through the first two weeks before suffering the unfortunate injury. Trevon Diggs will soon have ACL surgery and will start his recovery process.

“Thank you for all the prayers and I appreciate everyone for checking on me! This is just God’s Plan. I will be back and better!,” wrote Diggs on the social media platform X.

Nonetheless, the Cowboys will continue their quest for Super Bowl glory without Diggs. The Cowboys will face the 0-and-2 Arizona Cardinals in their week 3 matchup on Sunday.
