Dak Prescott had a terrible season and has been out of favor with the fans ever since the Cowboys were eliminated by the 49ers in the NFL divisional round playoffs. The Cowboys managed to beat the struggling Bucs in the wild-card round but that wasn’t enough to get the fans on his side.
Prescott has been consistently average throughout his Cowboys’ career and has shown no signs of improvements. The Cowboys are one of the most popular teams in the country and are also dubbed as America’s team due to the glory they celebrated in the 90s. Since then, they have been downgraded.
The Cowboys QB has never made it past the divisional round. Therefore, the fans assumed that if the Cowboys were to win the Super Bowl, they need someone else at the center of things.
However, new reports suggest that instead of replacing him, the Cowboys are looking to offer Prescott another contract and tie him down for more years to come. This came as a shock to everyone and the NFL world was taken by storm.
The CEO of the Cowboys, Stephen Jones stated that they are looking to tie down Prescott for the next 10 years and will offer him a huge contract to keep him in the team. The QB is 29 years old and in his prime. Therefore, it’s hard to believe that he can improve from here.
