Tom Brady has been one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history to grace the field. Coming out of retirement in 2022, Brady wanted to prove that his competitive fire was still burning to win another Lombardy Trophy. Once again, Brady returned for a second season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, eager to lead them to his eighth championship ring.

Back in 2022, Tom Brady was deeply motivated about his return and said, “I’m here to prove that I’m still capable of leading a team to a championship.” Brady, now 45, has finally decided to end his NFL career today ‘for good.’ The seven-time Super Bowl winner posted a video on his social media handles, officially announcing his retirement to the fans.

However, the NFL Twitter did not seem satisfied, as they believe Brady will return to action again. In the video he posted, Brady clarifies, “I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.”

The fans on Twitter were thrown in utter disbelief at Brady‘s decision. They would miss seeing the legendary QB in action on the field. However, the reactions on Twitter are hilarious and might help the upset fans have a good laugh.

The NFL fans definitely didn’t expect to wake up one fine day and see a retirement post from Tom Brady. In the video, Brady looks extremely emotional and thanks his fans for all the support that they have showered over his 23-season-long career.

“Thank you to every single one of you for supporting me – my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever – there’s too many,” says Brady, thanking everyone involved in his journey to greatness in the NFL. “Thank you for allowing me to live my absolute dream, I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.”

Few NFL fans are not at all trusting of Brady’s words and posts a GIF which sums everyone’s feeling at this moment.

Here are several fans, including the Formula 1 and the Olympics official accounts, wishing Tom Brady the best for his life post-retirement.

This season, Brady did have a brilliant run. However, he faced a 31-14 play-off defeat with the Bucs this season last month. Nevertheless, Brady has ended his career on a much more illustrious note, to be counted as one of the bests in sporting history.
