Sean Payton is a legendary Super Bowl winning coach who has shown his prowess for the New Orleans Saints. However, since the Super Bowl winning season of 2009, the legendary coach had failed to provide anything for the club.
Therefore, after 15 years in charge of the Saints, the organization let him go and traded him to the Broncos in return for the 2023 first-round pick and it’s 2024 second-rounder.
The Broncos struggled miserably last season and had one of the worst records in the league. Their new superstar signing, Russell Wilson, bombed massively, and coach Nathaniel Hackett was instantly fired.
Now, the Broncos will be looking at a fortunate future with Payton incharge of the team and hopefully he can reignite Wilson’s form that he showcased with the Seahawks.
However, Payton wasn’t the first choice for the Broncos, as they had their eyes set on DeMeco Ryans, who accepted the Texans’ job instead of working with them.
Nonetheless, everything happens for a reason and the Broncos now have a Super Bowl winning coach who is known to make ordinary QBs perform extraordinarily.
Sean Payton’s arrival at the Broncos took social media by storm
The Broncos have significantly increased their odds to make a Super Bowl run next season just by the addition of Sean Payton. The former Saints HC has a bright resume and can really help Wilson find his old form that will put him on track to become a Hall of Famer QB.
Payton really made Drew Brees into a legendary QB and fans think that he will do the same with Russell Wilson, who already has a Super Bowl under his belt. The Broncos QB is under a humongous contract and the team will improve significantly if he finds his old form.
The Broncos also have a decent squad around them that can challenge for the playoffs if not the Super Bowl. The only thing they needed was a central authority to oversee everything, and they got that in Payton.
