Evan Engram has decided to be with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the long term after signing a new substantial deal with them. The New York Giants outcast has been phenomenal with the Jaguars and signed a new 3-year deal. The Jaguars TE has signed a new deal worth up to $41.5 million. According to Ian Rapoport, Engram will earn an impressive $25.5 million in guaranteed money.
Engram was franchise tagged by the Jaguars one season ago. However, his reliability has helped the team recognize his talent and lock him down for a multi-year deal. The 28-year-old TE had a breakout year with QB Trevor Lawrence and both established a decent partnership on the field. Engram had his career-best season where he had 73 receptions, 766 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns.
The new contract brings many new responsibilities and expectations from Engram who will have a bigger role for the Jaguars season next year. The Jacksonville-based team has improved a lot in the past season and will look to continue the momentum next season as well. Evan Engram signing a new deal has brought a lot of attention to him.
