The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is one of the most talented QB’s in the NFL right now. He’s managed the AFC Championship in just his second year and looking to win more glory on and off the field in the future.
In that trend, now the 26-year-old quarterback along with some other famous athletes from the big 4 sports in the USA has reportedly purchased some farming lands in Iowa. The roughly 20 other athletes including the Boston Celtics superstar Blake Griffin, Kevin Gausman, and Anders Lee among others have made a 104-acre corn and soy-focused form for roughly $5 million.
The athletes are planning to lease the land to the farmers and are looking to get a single-digit-percentage annual return on the total investment. According to the reports, the athletes will also buy four other farms during the next several years and are looking for a broad mix of agricultural assets. They have further looked into watermelon farms in Oregon, which tend to be smaller and pay higher per-acre rent.
The Bengals’ defensive end Sam Hubbard and Cardinals’ tight end Zach Ertz are also looking to buy in per reports. Furthermore, Former Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker and Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton are also among those players who are reportedly buying in.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions to the news of Bengals QB Joe Burrow, Blake Griffin, and roughly 20 other athletes reportedly buying 104 acres of corn-based form in Iowa.
Some people question why they have paid roughly 48k USD per acre in Iowa when the market rate is so much lower than that. That led the people to speculate they might be doing this for tax purposes.
Some other people believe that the athletes investing in farming lands is good for both the athletes and the farmers. People believe that the athletes are doing this to lease it cheaply to the farmers.
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals have conquered the AFC North division after their victory against the Baltimore Ravens in week 18 of the NFL regular season. They will have to repeat their week 18 victory one more time as they are set to host the Ravens once again in the NFL wildcard weekend.
