The NFL worries continue for the Denver Broncos even after last year as the team lost consecutive three games in the NFL 2023-24 season. Their last encounter against the Miami Dolphins was shambolic as the team was handed a defeat by a margin of 70-20. It was one of the highest scores in the history of the NFL which the Broncos scored.

After the disaster, the Broncos were hammered by the analysts. First, it was Shannon Sharpe who uttered his disgust over the performance. The latest to join the list is Stephen A. Smith, who from one of the episodes of ‘First Take,’ criticized the Broncos’ performance. He coined the Broncos a ‘national disgrace.’

You cannot point to any other team today that is a national disgrace. The Denver Broncos are so bad if someone got fired today, I can’t knock ’em,” the analyst said. Earlier, Shannon Sharpe also hammered the Denver Broncos by saying that the Dolphins told them that everything was wrong with their team. Their coaching is bad, their selection of players is bad and their talents are also bad. Even after the horrible match, the ex-Broncos man expressed his grudge on Twitter.

The Broncos went through a change ahead of the season. Last year, it was horrible for them. They almost matched their season-worst as they registered only four wins against twelve losses. The result compelled the team management to change their head coach Nathaniel Hackett and appoint Seon Payton. With Payton, the management hoped for a drastic change in performance. However, in reality, the team ended up losing three games in a row.

Trouble brews for Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is not having the best of his times at the Denver Broncos as he developed some problematic relations with the head coach. The player was openly criticized by the head coach Payton in a press conference for the former’s slow play calls. In addition to this, he also suggested the player wear a wristband for fast playmaking.

However, the quarterback did not have a bad game against the Dolphins. He covered 306 passing yards and had one touchdown. He completed 28 of his 36 passes and intercepted once. The player was pressurized 20 times by the Dolphins. His efforts went in vain as he failed to prevent the shambolic setback in the hands of the Dolphins.

The season seems almost over for the Broncos. Only a miracle can take them to the playoffs. Payton has to work a lot on this team.
